UMP Jakarta Tahun 2026 Dipastikan Naik

Governor Assures 2026 Wage Hike for Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that there will be an increase in the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) 2026 for workers in the capital.

There will definitely be a (wage) increase

This adjustment is based on a specific index variable, known as alpha, which is set within a range of 0.5 to 0.9.

"Since the figures already have a set range, we simply need to find a solution within that range between employers and workers," he stated at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (12/18).

Jakarta Minimum Wage 2026 Discussion to Be Finalized Soon

While he did not specify the exact percentage of the increase, he assured that the calculation would depend on several key factors, such as inflation and economic growth.

"There will definitely be a (wage) increase. Since the alpha variable has a range, there must be an adjustment. The calculation will take into account inflation, economic growth, and other factors," he explained.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to finalizing the Jakarta UMP 2026 promptly. This aligns with instructions from the Home Ministry (Kemendagri), which set the deadline for UMP determination on December 24, 2025.

He aims to complete the process ahead of schedule.

"Bismillah (In the name of God), Jakarta will finish earlier than that," he explained.

He further acknowledged receiving reports regarding the Presidential Decree that serves as the legal basis for wage determination. He emphasized that the Jakarta government would act as a fair mediator or "judge" for both parties—labor unions and employers.

Consequently, he has instructed his staff to immediately hold coordination meetings to find common ground.

"The Jakarta government will be a fair judge for both workers and employers. I have requested that a meeting be held immediately. We must not be late; we will be proactive in determining the UMP," he concluded.
